palm trees in Cambodia
Dear, all respected readers and travelers. This is a photo of Cambodian palm trees in the morning time and they are called our national trees for a lot of benefits from the trees. Nearly all of the parts of palm trees are useful for Khmer people who both live in countryside and in the city. People can get benefits from palm trees -from the root till the top of the trees. Well, even now we are living in the modern technology but Cambodian people still believe in medicinal plant,so that Khmer people like chopping some palm root taking home and boiling the root to drink because we it can decrease the temperature in human body, especially for fever. We use the trunk to build the house and bridge, the leaves used as the roof material and the fruit can be vegetable or jelly when they turn ripe. Moreover, people use the bamboo as the ladder to tie up along the trunk to climb up to the top where they can cut flowers to produce palm juice or palm sugar. All in all we really appreciate palm trees so much, because they provide us a lot with different benefits. Palm trees are really useful for Khmer people.
